Stillwater’s Jonas Kohn will be taking the next step in his hockey career with the Regina Pats, signing a Scholarship & Development Agreement with the storied WHL franchise.
The hulking defenseman, who stands at 6’4”, anchored Stillwater’s blue line last season with a rare combination of size and mobility. Kohn backboned the squad with his steady defensive play while putting up more than a point per game, registering 31 points in 30 contests. His contributions were instrumental in helping Stillwater reach the Minnesota State High School Hockey Tournament and advance all the way to the championship game, he scored 3 points in 3 tournament outings.
The Regina Pats are getting a responsible, two-way defenseman who uses his reach and frame to disrupt plays, clears the crease, and shuts down rushes. By adding Kohn, the Pats not only secure a big presence on the back end but also a blueliner with upside to contribute offensively. His experience in high-stakes games and leadership qualities make him a valuable addition to Regina’s lineup as they continue to build for the future.
