White Bear Lake defenseman Rian Marquardt has announced his commitment to play Division I hockey for Arizona State University.
Marquardt recorded 2 goals and 5 assists in 25 games last season for the Bears, providing steady play on the back end and flashes of offensive upside. He has also represented Minnesota at the USA Hockey 15 and 16 National Camps over the past two summers, gaining valuable experience against top competition.
A poised, responsible defenseman with good vision and puck movement, Marquardt continues to trend upward as one of White Bear Lake’s key blue-liners and a strong addition to Arizona State’s future defensive core.
