Gunnar Conboy has been named the MN Hockey Life Player of the Week after a standout showing at the USA Hockey Boys National 16 Camp, where he earned a spot on the prestigious U.S. Under-17 Select Team that will compete at the Four Nations Tournament.
Conboy impressed throughout the week with his strong 200-foot game, making an impact in all three zones. The Lakeville North forward tallied five goals and one assist over five games, showcasing his scoring ability, physical play, and high hockey IQ.
No stranger to success, Conboy served as captain of Lakeville North as a sophomore, leading the team with 44 points (24G, 20A) in 27 games. He also made a strong impact in the Upper Midwest High School Elite League, posting 15 points in 21 games with Team MAP South last fall.
This spring, Conboy solidified his status as a top-tier prospect by signing a USHL tender with the Green Bay Gamblers, ensuring his rights for the 2025–26 season. With size, skill, and a relentless motor, Conboy continues to raise his stock as one of Minnesota’s top 2009-born forwards and a name to watch on the national stage.
