Former Eastview Star Zach Wooten Flips Commitment to Wisconsin

The Wisconsin Badgers have secured a significant addition to their future forward group, as former Eastview High School standout Zach Wooten has officially flipped his commitment from Maine to Wisconsin.

Wooten, a 2006-born center from Apple Valley, MN, is off to an impressive start in the USHL with the Green Bay Gamblers. Through 19 games, he has recorded 17 points, showcasing the skill, pace, and competitiveness that made him one of the more sought-after recruits in his class. Before beginning his junior career, Wooten made his mark in Minnesota high school hockey. Over three seasons at Eastview, he amassed 110 points in 80 games.

Standing 6’1″ and 181 pounds, Wooten blends size with creativity and touch. He plays with versatility, impacting the game in all three zones while still driving offense and pushing play. His presence down the middle gives Wisconsin another high-upside, playmaking forward to build around in the coming years.
