Forward Rio Treharne has made a verbal commitment to play at Northern Michigan University, continuing his development with one of the top programs in the CCHA. Treharne has been a standout for Eden Prairie High School over the past three seasons, posting 53 points in 26 games last year (17 goals, 36 assists) and totaling 96 points in 78 career games for the Eagles.
He gained valuable junior hockey experience last season with the Wisconsin Windigo (NAHL), recording six points in 13 games during his first taste of junior action. This past weekend, Treharne made his USHL debut with the Waterloo Black Hawks, who drafted him in the third round (37th overall) of the 2025 USHL Phase II Draft.
