The Gophers have landed another top in-state talent, receiving a verbal commitment from Moorhead native Wyatt Cullen. His decision comes just days after Lakeville’s Gunnar Conboy also pledged to join the University of Minnesota, continuing the program’s strong pipeline of Minnesota-born players.

Cullen spent last season with the U.S. National Team Development Program (NTDP), where he appeared in 55 games for the U17 squad. He recorded six goals and 25 assists while competing against top competition.

Cullen is known for his quickness, elusiveness, and strong puck control, Cullen combines high-end vision with a poised offensive game. His ability to create time and space makes him a dynamic playmaker and a valuable addition to the Gophers’ future lineup.

With Cullen and Conboy now committed, Minnesota continues to build a homegrown foundation filled with skill, speed, and leadership.
