Maverick McKinnon Named MN Hockey Life Player of the Week

Maverick McKinnon has been named the MN Hockey Life Player of the Week after a standout showing at the Boys High Performance 15’s Summer Camp, where he led all skaters in scoring with 11 points in 6 games.

McKinnon continues to impress with his consistent, high-level play and is quickly cementing his status as one of the top 2010-born prospects in the nation. At camp, the dynamic forward showcased his elite skating, smooth puck control, and natural scoring touch, standing out even among the best 2010 players in the state.

The Forest Lake native is coming off an outstanding high school season, where he racked up 50 points in 28 games as an 8th grader for Forest Lake High School. His remarkable debut earned him the MN Hockey Life Rising Star Award, presented to the top “freshman” newcomer in Minnesota high school hockey.

With each passing event, McKinnon continues to elevate his game and solidify his reputation as one of the most exciting young players to watch in the state and beyond.
