The Brandon Wheat Kings have tapped into Minnesota’s deep talent pool by signing Mahtomedi native Jimmy Egan to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
Egan, a 2008-born forward, was part of Mahtomedi’s 2023 Class A State Championship team and spent last season developing with the Sioux Falls Power and finished with 3 games with the Omaha Lancers of the USHL. Known for his blend of size and skill, Egan is capable of handling physical play while showcasing strong playmaking abilities.
In just two seasons of high school hockey, Egan totaled 73 points in 62 games played, an impressive mark for a player who made his impact felt early as a freshman and sophomore. His talents have earned him invites to the prestigious USA Hockey National 15 and 16 Player Development Camps.
Egan is committed to play Division I college hockey at Arizona State University.
