Chanhassen’s Kam Hendrickson has been voted as the MN Hockey Life High School Hockey Goalie of the Year of the 2023-24 season. The Strom tender was the backbone of the team this season, compiling a 21-5 record with an even 1.00 GAA and an amazing .952 SV%.
Henderickson was nothing short of spectacular this year, showcasing his mental and physical skills each and every game that he played, highlighted by a 44-save performance in a win over favored Minnetonka in the Section 2AA Championship Game. Hendrickson made the choice to return for his senior season after spending the fall with Chicago of the USHL. With the decision to return, Kam and the rest of his Chanhassen Storm teammates made history by earning the school’s first trip to the Minnesota State High School Hockey Tournament.
The voting committee for the award was comprised of area scouts and media members. The four other finalists for the award were Joe Bertram of Edina, Aleksi Huson of Shakopee, Mason McElroy of Benilde St. Margaret’s, and AJ Reyelts of Proctor.
