Congratulations to the eight outstanding Minnesotans drafted into the NHL. The L.A. Kings traded up in the second round so they could select Maple Grove native Brock Faber at pick 45. Nothing is better than seeing a team trade up so they can obtain your talent. Faber was the first Minnesotan selected in the 2020 NHL Draft.
Jake Boltmann of Edina was on the ice practicing with the Lincoln Stars of the USHL when he was informed he was drafted by the Calgary Flames
The Canadiens drafted two Minnesotans in the fourth round. They selected Jack Smith at pick 102 and then Mr. Hockey, Blake Biondi, at pick 109.
