Beck Thoreson Commits to the University of North Dakota

Beck Thoreson of Moorhead has committed to play his college hockey at the University of North Dakota.

Thoreson is currently skating with the U.S. National Team Development Program U17 Team, where he has provided a significant presence on the blue line. He brings a strong blend of size, mobility, and skill, allowing him to impact play at both ends of the ice. His ability to defend with structure while also moving pucks efficiently has made him a reliable piece of the NTDP back end.

Last season, Thoreson played for the Moorhead Bantam AA team that captured the state championship, where he was a crucial part of the group. He anchored the defense while also contributing offensively, recording 78 points in 55 games. His production, combined with his defensive reliability, highlighted his two-way profile and helped establish him as one of Minnesota’s top defense prospects.
