One of Minnesota’s premier 2009-born forwards, Caden Zasada has signed a Scholarship and Development Agreement with the WHL’s Spokane Chiefs.

A cerebral winger with a high hockey IQ, Zasada consistently shows advanced anticipation and positioning this season for Hill-Murray, scoring 30 points (21 goals) in 28 games. He times his routes well, goes to scoring areas with purpose, and owns a quick, clean release. Off the puck, he supports play early and makes efficient reads in transition.

Zasada played great at Minnesota’s High Performance program, where he led all skaters in both goals and points at the Boys 16 Final 54. That performance made him a selection for National Camp, where he again showed well, scoring 6 goals and an assist in 5 games.

In May, Zasada was selected 22nd overall by the Fargo Force in the USHL Phase I Draft.
