Another top Minnesota defenseman is heading west, as Rosemount’s Josh Toll has signed a Scholarship and Development Agreement with the Wenatchee Wild of the Western Hockey League (WHL).
Toll, a finalist for the 2024 Mr. Hockey Award, had an outstanding season for the Rosemount Irish, racking up 13 goals and 36 assists in just 27 games. Known for his strong skating, offensive instincts, and ability to control the pace of play from the back end, Toll was one of the state’s most impactful players throughout the high school season.
He won’t be the only Minnesotan on the Wenatchee blue line. Toll will with join Moorhead defenseman Brandon Mickelson, who signed with the Wild in April. Together, the duo gives Wenatchee a promising infusion of puck-moving ability and two-way reliability from the State of Hockey.
