It’s time we start recognizing Bryce Francisco as a top goaltender in Minnesota as the Hermantown junior has been sensational this season, posting a 9-2-3 record, 1.30 GAA and .955 SV%.
Bryce is a highly skilled goaltender that has displayed exceptionally quick reflexes and mental toughness this season. His ability to read the play and react quickly allows him to make challenging saves in high-pressure situations. This was the case over the last two games against St. Cloud Cathedral and Warroad, Bryce made big saves, keeping the momentum in Hermantown’s favor and allowing them to take home W’s in both matchups.
Francisco has excellent lateral movement and is adept at tracking the puck, even when there is chaos out front. His positioning is solid, allowing him to be in the right spots to stop shots consistently. While some expected a drop off in goal for Hermantown after the graduation of Dane Calloway, Francisco has proved to be just as valuable in net for the Hawks, being the driving force in their top ranking in Class A.
Francisco’s combination of quick reflexes and mental fortitude makes him a standout at the position and have the Hawks soaring this season.
