Former Woodbury Youth Hockey Association standout and Hill-Murray forward Riley Zupfer has announced his commitment to the University of Notre Dame.
Zupfer is currently skating with the Des Moines Buccaneers (USHL), where he’s off to a strong start with 4 goals and 10 assists for 14 points through 20 games. His blend of Hockey IQ, puck skill, and competitiveness has translated seamlessly to the junior level, making him one of the Buccaneers’ most reliable young forwards.
On the national stage, Zupfer has been a consistent presence at USA Hockey’s Summer Development Camps, earning invitations in back-to-back years. He was one of the top performers last summer, posting 5 goals and 3 assists for 8 points in 6 games, showcasing his scoring touch and ability to impact play against elite peers.
Notre Dame adds a well-rounded forward with a strong Minnesota development pedigree, one who has steadily risen through the Woodbury and Hill-Murray systems and continues to trend upward at every level.
