The University of North Dakota has landed a top Minnesota prospect as Brooks DeMars has announced his commitment to the Fighting Hawks.
DeMars is coming off a marquee stretch that included representing the United States at the U17 Four Nations with the U.S. Men’s Select Team. He’ll skate for the Penticton Vees of the WHL this season.
A product of the White Bear Lake Hockey Association, DeMars spent 2024–25 with the Long Island Gulls U15 program, where he captained the team and produced 69 points in 50 games. He also played up with the U16 Gulls, adding 15 points in 15 games.
With his commitment to North Dakota and a season ahead in Penticton, DeMars adds pace and play-driving ability to UND’s future depth chart, a great addition.
