Xavier Wendt Signs with WHL’s Tri-City Americans

Plymouth, MN native Xavier Wendt has officially signed with the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League (WHL), taking the next major step in his hockey journey.

Wendt is coming off a stellar season with Shattuck-St. Mary’s Prep, where he posted a 1.55 goals-against average (GAA) and a .932 save percentage (SV%), firmly establishing himself as one of the premier 2008-born goaltenders in North America. His steady, composed presence in net played a crucial role in Shattuck’s success this past season.

He earned an invitation to the prestigious USA Hockey National Goaltending Development Camp, where he trained with some of the top goalies from across the country. He was also invited to NTDP Camp in March of 2024. Xavier has found success on the international stage, winning gold at the 2024 Junior Olympics, further proving his ability to perform at the highest levels of competition.
