Caden Zasada proved why he’s considered one of the top 2009-born players in Minnesota, leading all skaters in both goals and points at the Boys 16 High Performance Final 54 Program this past weekend. The Hill-Murray High School standout was electric in the offensive zone, scoring seven goals over three games, including a four-goal explosion on Saturday.

Zasada’s high hockey IQ was on full display, as he consistently timed plays with precision. He found soft ice, gained inside position on defenders, and opened lanes for teammates to connect. His puck skills were equally impressive—clean receptions and quick releases highlighted his scoring touch. On one goal, he managed to thread a shot short-side with barely any space to work with, showcasing both accuracy and confidence.

Coming off a strong season where he tallied 30 points—including 21 goals—in 28 games, Zasada’s performance this past weekend only strengthens his stock heading into the USHL Draft. With his standout showing at the Spring Festival, he’s made a compelling case to earn a spot at the USA Hockey National Development Camp this July.
