Shattuck-St. Mary’s Defenseman Kyle Heger Commits to Western Michigan University

St. Mary’s standout defenseman Kyle Heger has officially committed to play college hockey at Western Michigan University. A native of Eagan, Minnesota, Heger has made a name for himself with his smooth skating, strong puck movement, and high hockey IQ.

Known for his ability to glide effortlessly across the ice and make smart decisions under pressure, Heger is a defenseman who isn’t afraid to battle hard for pucks. His combination of skill and smarts has been a key factor in his success with Shattuck’s Prep team, where he’s recorded an impressive 55 points in 55 games this season.

Heger’s talents have also been recognized on a national level, earning selections to USA Hockey National Camps at both 16 and 17 years old, an honor reserved for the country’s top young players.
