Backchecking Minnesota Hockey: 1/8/2025

A look at some news and notes from around the State of Hockey

-Henry Lechner is leading the state in goals with 25 through 13 games played, making 50 well within reach for the season. Henry’s career high is 32, achieved last season.

-Mason Kraft of Moorhead leads the state in scoring with 44 points in 15 games played.

-Brett Ludvigsen became the all-time leading scorer for Dodge County. Brett has 177 career points.

-Gavin Girdler recently went over 200 career points. The Red Lake Falls Senior has 18 goals, 12 assists in 13 games this season.

-St. Louis Park defenseman Leo Schmoll is a player to watch as he’s shown nice progression as of late. The sophomore has good size, is a balanced skater, and plays a responsible game.

-Two Rivers junior goalie Caden Conoryea is having a solid season for the Warriors, he’s 10-2-1 with 2.16 GAA and .917 SV%

-Sticking with goalies, Izaak Kalis stopped 57 shots for Little Falls in a 3-1 over St. Cloud Cathedral.

-Former Hill-Murray goalie Jack Erickson has committed to play his college hockey at Bentley. Jack has a 2.59 GAA and .918 SV% over 25 games this season for the Colorado Grit of the NAHL.

-Nikolas Gentilini of Cloquet has points in all 13 games played this season and 10 points in his last 3 games.
