There is a lot to like with Potter’s game as he’s a big and powerful forward that creates havoc in the greasy areas of the ice. The 2009 DOB has made his impression felt in the early stages of the 2024-25 season, putting up 25 points (10 goals, 15 assists) in 17 games played.

During recent viewings Potter has shown his ability to control the puck in the slot and draw the attention of multiple players, opening up his teammates for scoring opportunities. His positioning is what makes him effective, shielding the puck and shedding off attackers while keeping his head up and aware of the play around him.

Potter has shown soft hands, with the ability to gain control of the puck in a hurry and then distributes the puck with accuracy. He can take some abuse without it altering his play. His overall coverage radius will continue to progress as he grows into his big frame, but his coordination is impressive for his size and age.

Potter was a key member of the Northern Lakes Bantam A State Tournament team last season and is showing he’s a top player for Sioux Falls this season. He has a lot of tools at his disposal and is one to watch going forward.
