Former Orono High School standout Bradley Walker has made a verbal commitment to play his college hockey at Miami University. The 6’1”, 195-pound forward made the announcement on X/Twitter on Sunday.
Walker had an illustrious high school career, racking up 172 points over 4 seasons with Orono, leading them to a State Tournament appearance in 2023. Fans might remember his performance in the quarterfinal matchup that year as he had an outstanding game in a 2-1 ot win over Northfield. Bradley had a goal, assisted Avery Anderson’s winner, and took 11 shots during the contest.
Last season Walker played for El Paso of the NAHL, putting up 27 points in 59 games while leading the team in penalty minutes with 132. This season he attended the Waterloo Black Hawks Camp as an undrafted invitee and made the club. Walker has 3 points to go along with 36 Penalty minutes in 9 games this season.
Miami is getting a skilled forward that has size and plays a bit of old-school hockey.
