Chanhassen’s Gavin Uhlenkamp has been voted as the MN Hockey Life High School Hockey Player of the Year of the 2023-24 season. The dynamic forward scored 54 points in 23 games this season, helping the Storm to their first Minnesota High School Hockey appearance in school history.
The University of Wisconsin commit is playing his fourth season with Chanhassen, totaling 137 points in 90 games played over his high school career. Uhlenkamp is a balanced skater that uses his elite acceleration to gain separation, making Gavin an instant threat every time he touches the puck. The aspect of Uhlenkamp’s game that is clear when watching him play is his ability to play a 200-ft-game and that he makes his teammates better through unselfish play.
The voting committee for the award was comprised of area scouts and media members.
