Minnesota High School Boys Hockey Class AA Rankings

.Minnetonka 5-0 (Last week: 1) Well, they pulled off a big win against Chanhassen, a 3-2 in overtime and secure their spot at the top of the rankings. Next up is a date with Moorhead.

.Wayzata 5-0 (Last week 3) Took care of a quality Andover team 6-2 and gain a spot as Rogers slips due to a tie.

.Rogers 5-0-1 (Last week 2) They ran into a hot goalie that stopped 60 of their shots and suffer their first blemish of the season….although a small one. They have Chanhassen on Saturday.

.Chanhassen 3-3 (Last week 4) They took care of St. Thomas 4-0 but Uhlenkamp got banged up and heart and soul player Tyler Smith exited with a shoulder injury. Uhlenkamp should be fine but we’ll  monitor Smith’s status.

.Benilde St. Margaret’s 5-0 (Last week 5) They will take on Wayzata as it will be the battle of the unbeatens. Ken Pauly is flexing his coaching muscles this year as all players seem to be on the same page. Team effort, not one player over 7 points on the season.

.Edina 3-1 (Last week 6) They haven’t played in almost two weeks. Will have a three game set at the Edina Holliday Classic, first up is Grand Rapids.

.Holy Family 3-0 (Last week 8) Need to play a top 10 team to show where they stack up. HF has only allowed 1 goal in the three games played.

.Hill-Murray 3-1-1 (Last week 7) Nice victory over Mahtomedi, Hastings up next.

.Rosemount 6-1 (Last week 10) Six straight wins after their opening night loss to Minnetonka. They are showing nice depth and strong defensive play. Prior lake and Farmington are next for the Irish.

10. Maple Grove 4-2 (Last week NR) Started 0-2 with losses to Edina and Wayzata and now have 4 wins. They have a feisty Coon Rapids and then off until next week.
