Junior Podein committed to Western Michigan University on Saturday the Benilde St. Margaret’s forward announced via his Instagram.
Podein registered 1 goal last season for the Knights, a team that was loaded with skill and playing time was sparse for many of its talented youngsters. While the production on paper was not there, Junior has been an elite scorer In Bantams with St. Louis Park and when playing for various select teams.
The name of the game for Podein is quickness, as everything he does is with purpose and done with pace. Junior is slippery and difficult for opposing defenders to track, as he can make instant cuts and his stick-work is precise.
Junior should have a strong impact at the high school level this season and will be a nice offensive talent for the Broncos down the road.
