Twin brothers Gavin and Luke Garry of Minnetonka have committed to play hockey at the University of St. Thomas, the siblings announced via Instagram on Saturday. The two won a State Championship for Minnetonka in March and become the 2nd and 3rd Skippers to commit to UST, as teammate Alex Lunski committed to the school last August.

Gavin was an assistant captain last season for Minnetonka and provided the club with physicality and skill. He is great in the dirty areas of the ice and uses soft hands and a hard shot to capitalize on his chances. The power forward scored 20 goals and added 26 assists in just 31 games.

Luke uses more of a finesse angle to achieve success, keeping defenders on their toes by using deception and playmaking rather than raw power. He has a high hockey IQ and can move the puck with pace. Luke contributed 12 goals and 13 assists while playing a great 200-foot game.

The 2023 Champion Skippers now have eight players from the team that have made commitments to D1 schools, simply amazing.
