Conrad Fondrk Staying Out East, Picks Boston University

St. Paul native Conrad Fondrk will stay out east for college as he has committed to play hockey at Boston University. The dynamic forward has played for Mount St. Charles in Road Island the past two seasons, where he has finished as the leading scorer for the U14’s in 2021-22 and again for the U15 squad in 2022-23.

The announcement came to the surprise of many as most 2007’s are not eligible to commit until August 1st when NCAA permits high school juniors to begin selecting schools. Reports are that Conrad accelerated his schooling and was able to commit early, much like William Belle did when he committed to Notre Dame last October.

Fondrk has widely been considered one of the top 2007 born players and proved that this past March by making the NTDP U17. His puck control and deception are his bread and butter and the skills that will make him successful with the NTDP and at Boston University.

While it would have been nice to see him return to the State of Hockey for college, we wish him the best of luck with the Terriers.
