15 Minnesotans Selected in the 2023 NHL Draft

Congratulations to the 15 Minnesotans drafted into the NHL. Two of the 15 Minnesotans were selected in the first round. Oliver Moore was the first Minnesotan picked, going to the Chicago Blackhawks at pick 19. Two Picks later the Wild selected Charlie Stramel of Rosemount.

The Wild with 3, Lightning with 2, and the Coyotes with 2 were the three teams that selected multiple Minnesotans. The selection of Oliver Moore by the Chicago Blackhawks marks the fourth straight draft they have selected a Minnesota born player. Sam Rinzel (2022) Connor Kelley in 2021 (Maple Grove) and Wyatt Kaiser (Andover) in 2020.
