Cole Christian of Duluth East committed to Air Force Academy late last week. The standout forward had 69 points in 28 games for the Greyhounds last season.

Great hockey news for college hockey fans in the state as the Tommies and Gophers will open the 2023-24 season playing their first official game between each other at the Division One level. The two squads played an exhibition game at the historic Doug Woog Arena in January of 2022. The games will be October 13th and 14th at the Xcel Energy Center.

Grand Rapids native Joey Delgreco was named as the NAHL MVP after scoring 69mpoints in 60 games for Oklahoma. Joey is committed to Augustana University.

SDP won the 2008 World Youth Championship. Sammy Nelson of Osseo-Maple Grove was the tournaments MVP. Sammy scored 20 points in 9 games. Luke Carrithers *(also Osseo-Maple-Grove) was selected as the top goalie.

The 2007 Blue Army also brough home some hardware, winning the 2007 World Youth Championship. White Bear Lake’s Leo Gabriel went 5-0 with a 1.40 GAA and .944 Saves %.
