Brock Faber Makes His NHL Debut

Just two days after playing in the NCAA Championship game with the Gophers, Brock Faber hit the ice at the United Center in Chicago as a member of the Minnesota Wild. The Maple Grove native was a second round pick, 45th overall, in the 2020 NHL Draft by the L.A. Kings and was acquired by the Wild in the Kevin Fiala trade this past summer.

Faber played very well in his first NHL game, making smart decisions with the puck while demonstrating a large defensive radius. Faber was paired with fellow Minnesotan Alex Goligoski as he logged 21:49 of ice time, ending the evening as a +1, while taking one shot and blocking 6 shots.

Faber is the 57th Minnesota born player to skate in the NHL this season.
