6 Minnesotans Selected in WHL U.S. Priority Draft

There were six Minnesota Products taken in the 2021 WHL U.S. Priority Draft and Three others that did not develop their youth game in Minnesota but play at Shattuck St. Mary’s in Faribault. Many of the top 2006 Minnesotans were not selected as one of the main concerns/strategies of this draft is being able to have your selected individual play for your franchise.

Macklin Celebrini, who plays on Shattuck’s Prep team was the 1st pick of the draft, going to the Seattle Thunderbirds. Drake Murray and Aidan Park are the other out-of-state Shattuck players selected in the draft. Both Park and Celebrini are considered high 1st round picks of the 2024 NHL Draft at this time.
