The University of St. Thomas Women’s hockey team played in their first Division I games in school history this past weekend, both were defeats at the hands of the powerful #3 Ohio State. The women lost 6-0 on Friday night and 4-1 on Saturday. Abby Promersberger (Fargo, ND) scored the first-ever Division I goal for the Tommies. Alexa Dobchuk (Eden Prairie) made 93 stops in the two-game series.
These bumps in the road are expected for the Tommies as they adjust to the higher level of play with 12 new players this season. The women will look to rebound at home against Bemidji State University this weekend.
