- Connor Kurth of Elk River netted the first goal of the USHL season last Friday and scored two more to complete the Hat Trick for Dubuque. Despite Kurth’s efforts Dubuque lost to Muskegon 7-4. Kurth, who played at Gentry Academy is committed to the University of Minnesota.

- Ryan Kennedy of The Hockey News released The Top 40 USHL Players to Watch in 2020-21. Two Minnesotans are listed in the top five, Rhett Pitlick of Muskegon and Chaz Lucius of NTDP U18.
- The Rink Live Podcast recently spoke to USHL Commissioner Tom Garrity about the possibility of getting a USHL team in Minnesota (11:41). It would only make sense for the State of Hockey to have a team in the Nation’s top junior league.
